Notes: Was lucky enough to find one of the 500 copies ever made at Wall of Sound, the best record store in Seattle, which is conveniently located half a block from my studio. Enclosed in a hardback book styled case which folds open to three separate layers, the outside draped with beautifully textured hand-stitched wallpaper, all being held together in the middle with a brass split pin through a hole (including the hole in the CD itself.) All tracks were recorded live for Dutch radio station VPRO without overdubs, using an array of unusual instruments including: zither, thumb piano, ukulele, etc. Intimate & beautiful, Cecile Schott is easily my favorite French woman.
And we're lucky that you decided to share this rare record with us. Thanks so much. Her music is certainly intriguing, and I love the use of those instruments. Haven't found Les ondes silencieuses yet.
